DIRECTIONS FOR USE:  Use two 9 volt Nicad batteries or 9 volt alkaline batteries such as Duracell, Eveready, and/or Energizer batteries, etc.  Make sure they are fully charged.

Remove battery cover plate and insert batteries.  Make certain that the safety switch is in the OFF position and do not come in contact with the metal probes.  Replace cover.

Test the unit by pushing the safety switch into the "ON" position and depressing the trigger for no more than a second.  An arc of electricity between the inside metal test probes and a loud "zapping" sound will indicate proper function.

HOW TO USE A STUN GUN:   Touch the attacker with the outside metal contact probes while depressing the trigger.  A one-half second contact will repel and startle the target giving some pain and muscle contraction.  One to two seconds will cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state.  Over three seconds will cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation.  No sound will be heard when touching the attacker and no transfer of the shock to the user will occur.

Once the attacker is repulsed, leave the area immediately and seek assistance.

HOW DOES A STUN GUN WORK?  A stun gun is an electrical self-defense device that uses high voltage to stop an attacker.  Touching a person with the prongs on the gun quickly immobilizes the attacker.  However, because the amperage is very low, no serious or permanent injury is inflicted.
