ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In many parts of Indonesia, a blowgun is the weapon of choice. A primitive weapon of the Sumpit Tribe, this delicately carved work of art is an actual blowgun used by many natives of Indonesia.
This blowgun is painstakingly carved out of bone and adorned in the form of a dragon. Remove the tail, place in the first dart and blow. If your eyesight is keen, you catch the dart as it flies from the mouth of the dragon. Each blowgun includes authentic handmade darts. One dart rests under the dragons head for quick loading and the others are stored in the chamber which hangs below the gun.
The complete blowgun measures approximately three feet. The weight is approximately 2 pounds, 4.8 ounces. We are positive you will be very impressed with the fine detail of this blowgun. Products styles will vary. Collectors, add this item to your collection. We are sure it will be a conversation piece for home or office.
By purchasing handicrafts such as these, you are helping to provide an income for native tribes who are struggling to maintain their old ways and to save their tropical forests in the face of encroaching western influence.
